On 8 September 2025, our Senior Associate Rufina Ng delivered a valuable seminar titled "Empowering your loved ones", to the Alpha and Sailing Teams of AIA Hong Kong and Macau. The session focused on three critical legal instruments: Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPA), and Advance Medical Directives (AMD).

The seminar began with Scott Ho, District Director of AIA’s Sailing Team, who shared how these legal tools are highly relevant to the insurance sector. As insurance agents serve clients across all age groups—from newborns to the elderly—understanding how to support families during times of incapacity is essential.

Rufina then provided a comprehensive overview of these legal tools, emphasizing the importance of EPAs and the key considerations when drafting them. Through real-life case studies, she illustrated how these instruments can safeguard loved ones and ensure continuity in wealth management and succession planning.

The session attracted 40 participants and concluded with an engaging Q&A, where Rufina addressed the teams’ questions with clarity and her expertise.
