Mr. Lam is a Justice of the Peace and New Territories Justice of the Peace with Bronze Bauhunia Star (BBS). Mr. Lam is currently a China-appointed Attesting Officer, a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors, Ex-Officio Member of Heung Yee Kuk New Territories, member of Panel of Adjudicators, Obscene Articles Tribunal, member of Buildings Ordinance Appeal Tribunal Panel and a Civil Celebrant of Marriages.
Mr. Lam was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 1979, and has been practising in the legal field for 39 years. Mr. Lam is experienced in handling a wide range of cases, with specialization in sale & purchase of real property, project financing, civil litigation, town planning applications and dealing with unauthorized structure cases.
Mr. Lam is an indigenous inhabitant of the New Territories and has been dedicated himself to serving in the Heung Yee Kuk for more than 30 years. Mr. Lam is therefore equipped with expertise and skills to deal with complicated matters relating to land in the New Territories and the affairs of T’sos and T’ongs.
