Bruce first joined the legal field as a junior clerk with Johnson, Stokes & Master in 1979. He became a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, UK in 1993. He completed the P.C.LL course at The University of Hong Kong in 2000 and qualified as a solicitor in 2001. Bruce is now a Senior Associate of Hastings & Co., a prestigious firm of solicitors with more than 100 years history in Hong Kong, focusing on all aspects of will, probate, administration and trust matters. He is experienced in advising and representing clients, including bank trustee companies, in contentious probate litigation and non-contentious probate applications. In addition, Bruce has extensive experience in general litigation, land resumption claim, debt recovery, matrimonial case, committee application under the Mental Health Ordinance, setting up of family trust and preparation of enduring power of attorney. Bruce presents seminars on will drafting and succession law related topics on a number of occasions for charitable institutions, Civil Services Bureau, Social Welfare Department, banks and insurance companies. He had represented the Law Society of Hong Kong to appear in the TVB law related show “Justice for All” hosted by Ms. Carol Cheng Yu Ling (DoDo). Bruce is proficient in English, Putonghua and Cantonese.
