Mr. YUNG, Ching Tat (容正達) B.B.S., J.P.
Senior Partner

Mr. Yung, admitted in 1979 to practise law in Hong Kong as well as admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales, Australia (Victoria) and Singapore, primarily deals with banking, corporate, finance, commercial and intellectual property matters.  He was admitted as a Partner of the firm in 1981 and became the Senior Partner in 1997.  He is also a Notary Public and a China-Appointed Attesting Officer, serving in these capacities since 1990 and 1993 respectively.  Furthermore, he was the past President of the Association of China-Appointed Attesting Officers (for the years 2006 to 2009) and currently still serving as a Council Member.  He is a member of the International Trademark Association and the Asian Patent Attorneys Association, and a former member of the Shenzhen Arbitration Commission.   He served as Chairman of the Housing Appeal Panel from 1995 to 2002 and Chairman of the Transport Tribunal from 2003 to 2009.  In 1999, he was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR and in 2008 appointed as a Justice of the Peace.



Ms. KONG, Yuen Hoong (江潤紅)

Managing Partner

Ms. Kong was admitted to practise in Hong Kong in 1978. Ms. Kong is also admitted in England and Wales, Australia (Victoria) and Singapore. She is the Managing Partner of the firm and Chief Representative of the Shenzhen Branch Office. Her main area of practice is Matrimonial Litigation. She is a director and the Legal Adviser to the Y’s Men’s Club of Island South.

Ms. Kong received training in Collaborative Law practice in Hong Kong and is a member of the Collaborative Practice Group (Hong Kong) and of Resolution (U.K.)



Mr. MA, Ching Nam (馬清楠) J. P.

Mr. Ma is a partner of the firm and was educated in Hong Kong and in England. He graduated with honours from the University of Hull, England in 1977.  He was admitted to practise as a solicitor in England and Wales, Hong Kong, Australia (Victoria) and Singapore. Mr. Ma is a Notary Public, a China-Appointed Attesting Officer and a Civil Celebrant.

He was the President of the Hong Kong Society of Notaries (2007-2013).

He has been appointed as Committee Member of The People’s Republic of China Political and Consultative Conference Hunan Province and as a Visiting Professor of the China Agricultural University.

Mr. Ma is experienced in corporate, commercial and company work. He also handles real estate and civil litigation work and China-related joint ventures.

Mr. Ma is director and/or legal advisor to numerous companies, banks, institutions, charitable organizations and chambers of commerce and is currently sitting on a number of governmental committees as chairman and member.

Mr. Ma’s father, the late Mr. Ma Kam Ming, M.B.E., was the Chairman of Tai Sang Bank Limited.



Mr. CHEUNG, David Kin Chun (張健俊)

Mr. Cheung was admitted to practice in Hong Kong in 1992 and became a Partner in 1999. He was also admitted in England and Wales. He studied at the College of Law, Guildford, England. His particular area of strength is conveyancing including project development, property and mortgage related matters. He also deals with leasing, commercial banking, project finance and share transfer matters. Mr. Cheung is a member of law-abiding enterprises recommendation committee of the Dongguan City Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment to Huangpu Customs, PRC. Mr. Cheung is the Hon Secretary of the Executive Committee of The Neighborhood Advice-Action Council. Mr. Cheung is also the honorary legal adviser of certain non-profit making organizations.



Mr. WONG, Allen Ping Lun (黃秉倫)

Mr. Wong was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 1993 and has since been practising as a civil litigation lawyer. Mr. Wong was also admitted in England and Wales and is a Notary Public. He became a partner in 1999. Mr. Wong specialises in personal injury and insurance claims and commercial litigation. He also handles divorce and matrimonial disputes and other civil litigation matters.

Mr. Law was admitted to practise in Hong Kong in 1983 and became a partner of the firm in 2001. He was also admitted in Singapore, Australia (Victoria), England and Wales. He is a Notary Public and a Civil Celebrant. His main practice is Conveyancing, Commercial and Civil Litigation. His other major interests also cover Commercial and Corporate matters. He is a member of the Review Body on Bid Challenges appointed by the Secretary for Commerce and Industry under the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement, and Chairman of the Appeal Board Panel appointed by the Secretary for Information Technology and Broadcasting under the Entertainment Special Effects Ordinance. He is also a member of the Panel of Adjudicators of the Obscene Articles Tribunal. In 2017, he was awarded the Medal of Honour by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR.



Miss MOK, Janine Yee Shun (莫漪淳)

Ms. Mok was admitted to practise in Hong Kong in 1996 and was admitted in England and Wales in 1997. She became Partner in charge of the Intellectual Property Department of the firm in 2002. She is currently a member of the APAA, INTA and also AIPPI. She has extensive experience in handling general prosecution of trade mark applications, patent applications & design applications in Hong Kong and supervising the like in the PRC as well as contentious IP matters. She has been speaker on IP topic at the Free Legal Advice Session in the Qingdao Hong Kong Promotion organized by the Law Society of Hong Kong.



Mr. CHAN, Kevin Wai Man (陳偉文)

Mr. Chan was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 1995 and in England and Wales in 1997. He joined the firm in 2002 as a Consultant and became a Partner in 2005. He has been an Accredited General Mediator of Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and The Law Society of Hong Kong since 2012 and 2013 respectively. His focus of practice is Civil Litigation including commercial litigation, personal injury claims, judicial reviews, land-related disputes, matrimonial and family proceedings and other civil claims. He also has wide-ranging experience in conveyancing transactions, as well as commercial and corporate matters.



Mr. WONG, Antony (黃 東尼)

Mr. Wong was admitted to practise in Hong Kong in 1987 and in England and Wales in 1994.  He first joined the firm in 1987 and became a Partner in 1990.  In 1991, he left to form his own firm Chan Wong & Lam.   Mr. Wong specialises in corporate work and has considerable experience in post-incorporation matters; the planning and implementation of corporate reorganisations and mergers and acquisitions; and negotiation of shareholders’ agreements, joint venture agreements and other corporate matters.  Mr. Wong also had a brief stint outside the legal field.  Between 2001 and 2002, he joined a high-tech start-up as CEO, where he has gained valuable hands-on experience and exposure at making deals and running a high-tech business.  He returned to practice at his previous firm as a Consultant in 2002.  Mr. Wong rejoined Hastings & Co. as Partner in September 2006. He now also takes on cases to help high net worth clients to set up private trusts as well as assisting mainlanders in applying for immigration to Hong Kong under CIES and other categories.



Ms. SUEN, Wanda Wing Hang (孫詠衡)

Ms. Suen was admitted to practice in Hong Kong in 2001. She joined the firm in 2003, became a Consultant in 2008 and a Partner in 2011. Prior to joining the firm, she has worked for the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited where she has gained considerable experience in handling listing and compliance matters. Ms. Suen specialises in new listing and compliance work, she also handles general commercial matters.



Mr. Siu, Simon Chak Yu  B.B.S., J.P.  (蕭澤宇)

Mr. Siu was admitted as solicitor in Hong Kong in 1986.  He obtained his LLB (Hons) degree and PCLL from the University of Hong Kong.  He was also admitted as solicitor in England and Wales, as barrister and solicitor in Australia (Victoria), and as solicitor in Singapore.  Mr. Siu is a Notary Public and a China-Appointed Attesting Officer, serving in these capacities since 1997 and 2000 respectively.


Mr. Siu advises on all aspects of general civil and commercial litigation.  He has been involved in the broad variety of high profile cases covering a wide area of disputes.  He has extensive experience in corporate litigation, shareholders disputes, real estate related disputes, matrimonial litigation and libel actions.  He is also experienced in regulatory issues relating to SFC investigation and enquiries.

Mr. Siu has been appointed by the Government of the HKSAR to provide pro bono services to various administrative boards and quasi-judicial bodies.  He served as Chairman of the Housing Appeal Panel from 2007 to 2013.  He is now Chairman of the Buildings Appeal Tribunal, Deputy Chairman of the Environmental Impact Assessment Appeal Board and Deputy Chairman of the HKSAR Passports Appeal Board.  He is also serving as a Board Member of the Estate Agents Authority.  He was appointed as a Justice of the Peace and awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the Government.




Ms. Fan Ho Kee Jennifer  (范可琪)

Ms. Fan was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2003.  She joined the firm in 2007 as an Associate and became a Partner in 2015.  She has broad civil litigation practice specializing in family matters including matrimonial finance and children disputes.  She also handles corporate and commercial disputes, company liquidation and personal insolvency, land and property claims and other civil litigation matters.



Mr. LUI, Anthony Ka Wan (吕嘉運)

Mr. Lui was admitted to practice in Hong Kong in 2007. He joined the firm in 2010 and became a Partner in 2015. Mr. Lui mainly focuses on corporate and banking finance transactions.  He has participated in a broad range of corporate finance projects, including IPOs and merger and acquisitions, and handled compliance issues for listed companies. He also advises clients on syndicated and bilateral loan transactions.



Mr. Lam Chun Sing (林俊昇)

Mr. Lam was admitted as solicitor in Hong Kong in 2007. He obtained his LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Liverpool (UK) and his PCLL from the University of Hong Kong. He was appointed as a Civil Celebrant of Marriages in 2016. Mr. Lam joined the firm in 2010 (and rejoined in 2017 after a brief departure) and subsequently became a Partner in April 2017.

Mr. Lam advises on all aspects of civil and commercial litigation. He also has experience in criminal litigation as well as matrimonial disputes. He has been involved in a large variety of cases covering a wide range of disputes, including shareholders disputes, cross-border contractual/commercial disputes, land related disputes (including adverse possession), matrimonial disputes and other types of general disputes. His experience in criminal litigation covers a diverse range of charges and offences, including “white-collar” crimes and offences under the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance.



Mr. LAI, King (黎競)

Mr. Lai is a partner of the firm and was educated in Hong Kong, the United States of America and England. He graduated with honours from King’s College London, England in 2004. He was admitted to practice in Hong Kong in 2007 and in England and Wales in 2008. He joined the firm as a partner in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for a number of leading international law firms.

Mr. Lai’s practice focuses on corporate matters including initial public offerings, mergers & acquisitions, financings and other general commercial matters.
